My dog had to have major surgery and he's the only one I trusted and very glad. Surgery went well and recovery even faster. My dog's tails wag when coming in the door so they must be treated ok there.
I attempted to schedule an afternoon hygiene trim with a little off the top... I was informed my mother's cat had to be there in the morning and would be sedated .... their policy. I explained that my cat had been there before and was behaved during a hygiene cut and my mother had waited. Not acceptable anymore.
We have had five pet Family members over the past 24 years and Dr Logan and his caring team have always provided the most tender and personal care - to our pets and us.
He is a superb vet and very thorough and precise. I have taken my dogs to him over the past three years, and I find his care and attention to details very refreshing in today's modern vets. He does all of this with reasonable and fair pricing and seems to really care about every visit. He doesn't rush me in and out and takes his time...with every patient and you just have to wait for his time and attention.
We recently adopted two Irish Setters from a lady who used Tim Logan. We were supposed to accept the two setters either Saturday or Sunday as we were flying home from vacation. We had agreed to take the two Setters on Friday the 9th of October. However, prior to us getting home the female of the two had a obstruction in the large intestine, the ladies took the pup to the vet and they did not do an x-ray to establish what it was or exactly where the obstruction was. Yet from this amount of knowledge Tim Logan priced the surgery at $6000.00. That is correct, SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! We are not doing brain surgery here. So Tim Logan told the ladies to feed the beautiful Irish Setter Vaseline Petroleum Jelly in hopes that it would slide out naturally. They were suspicious of this advice and instead gave her olive oil. Needless to say the Setter suffered, either went into shock or a coma and died the next day. I would say that this vet showed absolutely ZERO COMPASSION FOR THIS ANIMAL AND IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE STRIPPED OF HIS LICENSE TO PRACTICE. When I finally got the other Setter on Sunday and took him to the vet I found out that Logan's office would not release the dogs records because the prior owners owed a very small amount of money and they were keeping the records hostage! What a horrible example this vet is showing to world of animal lovers and I plan to make sure everyone knows how he handles things like this from this point forward.........
It appears their policy has changed and not for the best of the animal. Perhaps they have changed handlers ... the policy to sedate is not in the best interest of your animal anymore than it is great for anyone to be sedated .. there always a risk.
Dr. Logan is a keeper and hope he never retires until I do!
I am changing vets.
